I’m doing something very intentional with this post’s photos – the first few are going to be, like, ‘meh…ok’ sorts of photos…but then it’s going to get pretty awesome. Just hang out with me, just for a minute.
So GOSH released a holographic silver polish ages ago, and the world went crazy and bought it all, which sucked, because it was limited edition. So, being obviously very smart business people, GOSH then created a new polish that was designed to get as close to the LE polish as possible…and that new polish is Holographic Hero. Apparently, not as good as the original, but still pretty damn awesome.
This is a silver linear holo polish; you can see the little rainbow arcs forming in the flash photos above. The formula on this polish is nice and thin, but easy to apply – and once it’s on the nails, it looks like a sticker; a sheet of consistent shimmer without any lumps or bumps. It is also very forgiving of any chipping or dips in you nail, thanks to the scattered shimmer.
Long wearing? Not at all – the bottle itself says it’s for one night of wear. This chipped hard and fast, even with proper application (base coat, thin layers of polish, top coat). It’s fleeting and brief, but beautiful…especially in the sun. And, with that…BAM.
Like the universe exploded on my nails. I picked this up for a song at Shoppers Drug Mart — as far as I know, it is part of the permanent GOSH lineup, and if you’re looking for a simple, basic, easily accessible holo polish, this is a good one to add to your collection.
